Dr. Sharon Golden

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Opening Golden Veterinary Care marks the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Sharon. She brings 30 years of practice experience to the clinic, as well as her compassionate approach to care. Sharon currently has two dogs, Cooper and Coz, and has been showing and riding in Minnesota Hunter & Jumper competitions since she was knee-high to a border collie. Relaxation for Sharon includes spending time with her two daughters, photography, caring for her animal collection and doing yoga.

Dr. Sarah Lochner

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Sarah graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, although she is especially interested in internal medicine, dermatology and behavior! Sarah loves working with people to ensure their pets live long and happy lives. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, puzzling, and cuddling with her adorable basset hound, Winston. Sarah has spent hundreds of hours shadowing Dr. Sharon prior to vet school and is very excited to be working alongside her in her beautiful new clinic!

Dr. Lee Bull

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Lee has an undergraduate degree in biology from St. Olaf College, and completed her doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Much of what she loves about being a veterinarian is establishing special relationships with people and their pets. She brings a compassionate and thoughtful approach to caring for your pet as if they are a part of her own family. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys time with family including Mickey, a German Shorthaired Pointer. She also enjoys photography, and attending concerts and sporting events.

Dr. Mike Thrasher

Surgeon

Dr. Mike has been working with us since we opened and officially has joined the staff! He is one of our surgeons, working on more complicated surgeries. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, and has been practicing for over 30 years. Dr. Mike enjoys traveling, swimming, running, yoga and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Danielle Massie

Certified Veterinary Technician

Danielle has been a vet tech for more than 25 years at clinics in Plymouth and Lino Lakes. Having worked with Dr. Sharon previously, she was excited for the opportunity to help her open a new practice in her hometown of Wayzata. Danielle and her husband have 3 children and 3 dogs. She has a passion for fostering kittens and helping her husband with his non-profit organization which provides help to the homeless. In her hard-to-imagine-she-has-any spare time, Danielle loves being outdoors, camping, campfires, snuggling with her kiddos and enjoying a glass of wine and book on her front porch.

Kate Hill

Veterinary Technician

Kate loves being a veterinary technician, she spent the last several years at a clinic in Plymouth.  Her bubbly personality is a perfect match for taking care of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and their wonderful owners. She has her own crew of 3 dogs and 2 cats at home. Kate grew up in the area surrounded by pets and horses.  When she’s not taking care of animals, she volunteers her time to help other humans in need.  And a big plus she is a  die hard Packer fan!

Kristin McClanahan

Veterinary Assistant

This Wayzata native loves all animals, large or small. She brings a holistic approach to treating animals and is educated in the fear-free treatment of the animals. When she’s not putting patients at ease, she especially enjoys getting outdoors with her two Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dog.

Nicole Lukas

Veterinary Assistant

Nicole graduated from Eau Claire in May of 2021.  She will be applying to veterinary school soon.  She is working with us full time as a veterinary assistant, after spending many years shadowing and working with Dr. Golden.  Nicole brings experience and a wonderful work attitude with her.  She is excited to have joined our team.   She has a lively lab puppy named Mac, and a very spoiled cat, Eddie.  Nicole loves outdoor adventures, crafting and spending time with her friends and family.

Emilie Bell

Veterinary Assistant

Emilie joined us earlier this year.  We are just thrilled to have her on our team! She brings a great deal of skill and experience with her.   Emilie was born and raised in Wayzata; she is happy to be working here in her hometown.  She has been working since she was 17 in veterinary medicine and is a natural with both the animals care and interacting with their owners.  Emilie’s love of veterinary medicine is a family affair. Her father enjoyed a career in veterinary medicine, working at the University of Minnesota’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

Emilie always comes to work with a warm smile and positive attitude.  She is very thorough, and we are sure you will love working with her as much as we do!  When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time at her family’s cabin in Canada and snuggling with her two doggies.

Brady Hubbard

Veterinary Assistant

Brady joined the GVC team in the summer of 2022. He is a graduate from UW River Falls where he studied animal science. His passion for veterinary medicine is transparent as his passion is to ensure our patients and clients are both happy and healthy. Brady hopes to attend veterinary school in the near future. In his free time Brady enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family. You may spot him out and about at the local brewery as he enjoys fine craft beer and is always looking for something new and different!

Natalie Ostrander

Veterinary Technician

Natalie graduated with a degree in veterinary technology in 2012, and shortly after got her certification as a CVT. She worked in 2 different animal hospitals and then decided to take a break. 8 years later, she decided to get back into a clinic and we are so glad she did! Natalie has a huge passion and love for all animals. In her free time, she loves traveling and enjoys spending time at home relaxing with her fiancé and her American bulldog, Lucy.

Mandy Haider

Certified Veterinary Technician

Mandy joined our team last fall and we couldn’t be more thrilled. She will be celebrating 20 years this summer as a CVT. Mandy brings her smile, positive energy and vast experience with her to each shift and we feel so lucky to have her on our team. Mandy and her husband have two daughters and enjoy an active lifestyle with their young girls.
